Parliamentary business regarding reproductive medicine
Since the Reproductive Medicine Act came into force in 2001, a large number of parliamentary motions and initiatives have been submitted.

Motion 21.4341 “Fulfilling the desire to have a child, legalise egg donation for married couples” of the National Council’s Science, Education and Culture Committee (SECC-N) has been submitted to the Federal Council, and a corresponding legal reform is being prepared. Previously, motion 04.3439 "Enablement of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis” had triggered a complex legal revision that was concluded with the popular vote on 5 June 2016.
