Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)

RS viruses cause colds, flu-like illnesses and bronchiolitis mainly in the winter half-year. They often lead to hospitalisation. For newborns and infants, two long-acting monoclonal antibodies are available. In addition, three vaccines are currently available for people aged 18 and over. One of these is also approved as a vaccination for pregnant women to protect their newborns.
