Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE)

TBE is a viral infection that is transmitted through the bite of a tick which is carrying the TBE virus. TBE vaccination is recommended for all persons aged three or over who live in a risk area. The wearing of skin-covering clothing and the use of tick repellents are also advised.
