NOSO in hospitals
Many measures under the NOSO Strategy are geared to improving the situation in hospitals – which are hardest hit by healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). The spectrum ranges from national databases on guidelines to concrete interventions to prevent HAIs.
NOSO in hospitals: Tools
As part of the NOSO Strategy, concrete preventive and monitoring tools are being developed and refined, with the aim of helping hospitals further reduce the risk of HAIs.
NOSO in hospitals: foundations
Studies provide a foundation for translating the NOSO Strategy’s areas of focus into concrete measures.
NOSO in hospitals: Standards and guidelines
If healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are to be effectively prevented, evidence-based standards and directives need to be adopted and maintained. Acute care hospitals, for instance, should be subject to minimal structural requirements and/or operational objectives.
