Accident insurance: Completed revisions

On 25 September 2015, the National Council and the Council of States approved the AIA revision.

The existing Ordinance on Technical Measures for the Prevention of Accidents and Occupational Illnesses in Compressed Air Work has been completely revised to reflect technical developments and the current working environment.

The revised Federal Act on Accident Insurance (UVG), approved on 25 September 2015, required amendments to the associated Accident Insurance Ordinance (UVV). The Act and the Ordinance came into force on 1 January 2017.

The Accident Insurance Act (UVG) and the Employment Act (ArG) include parallel and in some cases overlapping provisions on occupational health and safety. With the amendment of the Accident Prevention Ordinance (VUV) and Ordinance 3 to the Employment Act (ArGV 3), enforcement is to be optimised.
