The existing Ordinance on Technical Measures for the Prevention of Accidents and Occupational Illnesses in Compressed Air Work has been completely revised to reflect technical developments and the current working environment. The new Ordinance on the Safety of Compressed Air Workers came into force on 1 January 2016. Exemptions for police and rescue divers came into force on 15 October 2016.
