Standards and guidelines

Effectively preventing HAIs means having evidence-based standards and guidelines in place in hospitals to help coordinate efforts across the country and, for example, set down how hospital hygiene should be organised.

Minimum requirements for hospitals

02.12.2021 - A catalogue defines uniform national minimum requirements for the optimum prevention and control of HAI in acute-care hospitals.

Operational targets for hospitals

03.05.2019 - The federal government and its partners want to define targets. In doing so they are formulating a shared vision of how the overall rate of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) is to be reduced in Switzerland.
