Frequently asked questions

If a couple finds it difficult to conceive naturally, they have the option of using reproductive medicine, i.e. technical and biological techniques to treat infertility in women, men and couples.

In Switzerland, reproductive procedures are permitted only if their goal is to overcome a couple’s infertility if other treatment methods have failed or are hopeless, or if there is no other way to avoid the risk of transmitting a serious, incurable disease to the progeny.
