The preparedness handbook describes the measures to be taken to protect employees from infection and keep a business running in the event of a pandemic. It is geared to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The handbook was prepared by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) in cooperation with the EKP (the federal commission responsible for preparing for and combating pandemics) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). It is designed to help businesses and public authorities make appropriate preparations.
Goals
There are two main goals: to keep the organisation’s infrastructure running to make sure essential business processes can still function, and to minimise the risk of infection at the workplace (by means of organisational and material planning).
