If you think you have the flu, don’t go into hospital of your own accord. Call your doctor if you’re in a high-risk group or have very serious flu symptoms.
Going into hospital
If you’re a patient in hospital or visiting a patient, it’s extremely important to following the personal hygiene rules. The hospital might also have additional rules, for example that you have to wear a surgical mask during a pandemic. To protect yourself and the people around you it’s important to follow these rules.
Accident and emergency department
Call your doctor if you’re in a high-risk group or have very serious flu symptoms. If you can’t reach your own doctor, call the emergency on-call doctor or the emergency number 144. Do not go to the hospital’s emergency department of your own accord.
