Activity reports on supervision of the social health and accident insurance systems

The Insurance Supervision Division has been publishing an annual activity report since the 2016 business year.

The oversight authority bases its activities on the Health Insurance Oversight Act (HIOA), which came into force on 1 January 2016, and on the associated Ordinance (Health Insurance Oversight Ordinance, HIOO). It also operates in line with the Accident Insurance Act (AIA), the Military Insurance Act (MilIA) and the respective implementing ordinances.

The purpose of the HIOA is to protect the interests of insurees. It is also intended to create transparency with respect to social health insurance. The oversight authority is publishing this report, which appears for the first time in 2017, with the aim of creating transparency about its work.
