The Notification Authority for chemicals is the common entry point for the notification and disposal of chemicals of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Administratively, it is assigned to the FOPH. The registration office accepts applications for new substances, information on existing tested substances, and applications for the approval of active substances and preparations. It also handles other notifications, coordinates processes and issues the required decisions.
