Specialities list publications FOPH

Since 1 January 2024, the FOPH publishes the applications received for new admissions in the specialities list (SL), indication extensions and amendments to limitations for original formulations. The FOPH has also published background information on its evaluation of drugs for the specialities list since 1 June 2015.

Applications for new admission in the SL, indication extensions and amendments to limitations for original formulations

In accordance with Article 71 paragraph 1 letter f of the Ordinance of 27 June 1995 on Health Insurance (KVV), the FOPH publishes the following information following receipt of an application for new admission in the SL, indication extensions and amendments to the limitations of an original formulation:

  • the name of the medicinal formulation,
  • the disease for which reimbursement of a therapy is requested,
  • the name of the marketing authorisation holder,
  • the type of application,
  • the date of receipt of the application,
  • the status of the authorisation with Swissmedic at the time of receipt of the application.

Drugs that have been submitted to the FOPH since 1 January 2024 as part of a new admission in the SL/ indication extension and limitation amendment.

FOPH evaluations of drugs on the specialities list

Pursuant to Article 71 paragraph 1 letter b of the Health Insurance Ordinance of 27 June 1995 (KVV/OAMal; SR 832.102) the FOPH has published back-ground information on the evaluation of the efficacy and expediency of drugs, price comparisons with different drugs, and innovation surcharges when new original formulations are added to the specialities list, indications are extended, limitations are amended or prices are increased.
