Premiums in military insurance
Military insurance is free of charge, with one exception.
Professional members of the armed forces pay a premium that must cover at least 80% of illness-related treatment costs. For non-occupational accidents, they pay the same premium as other federal employees.
Who pays military insurance premiums?
Professional members of the armed forces and federal civil protection instructors pay military insurance premiums for illness and non-occupational accidents.
Insurance during retirement
Upon retirement, professional members of the armed forces and federal civil protection instructors also pay premiums if they opt for voluntary military insurance instead of health insurance.
