La Cannabinothèque – Canton of Geneva

The study to be carried out in Vernier (GE) will investigate to what extent a regulated cannabis access programme can improve knowledge of cannabis use and associated problems, and reduce the health and social risks involved.

The open monocentre trial involves regulated, safe and responsible access to cannabis and is based on an association model. A point of sale (the so-called Cannabinothèque) will be established in the commune of Vernier, the principal partner of the ChanGE Association, which is responsible for conducting and overseeing this pilot trial.

• Research Questions

  The study to be carried out in Vernier (GE) will investigate to what extent a regulated cannabis access programme can improve knowledge of cannabis use and associated problems. Also to be investigated is whether participation in the trial has an impact on the amount of cannabis used and the choice of cannabis products. Lastly, it will also be studied whether participation in the trial has an impact on health and social factors.
