The granting of advantages of any kind must not influence the prescribing, use or supply of prescription-only medicines. Any received discounts and rebates should be reported and passed on to the insurer or insured.

The FOPH enforces the administrative regulations with respect to integrity, transparency and the passing on of discounts (“ITD”). The FOPH is also responsible for initiating criminal proceedings against violations of these regulations.
