On December 7, 2023, we held our second Health Equity Forum - a national event to promote the sharing of experience, knowledge transfer and best practices on the topic of equity in healthcare in Switzerland.

The conference began with a spotlight at the current issues and challenges of equity in healthcare in other European countries. The presentation of the Swiss Health Network for Equity then illustrated a new dynamic in Switzerland in favour of equity in healthcare.

The focus then was on the contributions of research and the possible impact of new data on professional practices, healthcare organisations and the quality of care. Finally, equity was also discussed in the areas of refugees, migration and mental health.

Short film on the Priority Study

How can the quality of the Swiss healthcare system be measured in terms of equity? The PRIORITY study, coordinated by Geneva University Hospital and unisanté Lausanne, provides answers to this question based on studies in three hospitals.
