Digital Transformation Division
The Digital Transformation Division implements digital transformation within the FOPH and promotes it in the healthcare sector through the DigiSanté programme. The division is responsible for developing a basic framework, strengthening cross-functional collaboration and encouraging an end-to-end perspective. Its goal is to provide good, secure and interoperable digital products and services.
Information and communication technologies are playing an increasingly important role in the healthcare sector in areas including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, therapies, the pre- and post-care of patients, and data management.
The Digital Transformation Division develops the necessary overarching architectures and standards within the FOPH. It manages application platforms and is responsible for the introduction of electronic patient records in Switzerland. The focus is on data security, data protection and interaction, as well as the interoperability of different IT systems across divisions and offices. The division is also responsible for and manages the DigiSanté programme.
