Anne Lévy, Director-General

Anne Lévy has headed up the Federal Office of Public Health since October 2020. She ensures implementation of health policy decisions taken by the Federal Council, the Swiss parliament and the public. As Director-General of the FOPH, she works with the cantons and other actors to further develop the healthcare system.

Anne Lévy (*1971) is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the FOPH. As Director-General, she is answerable to Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA).

Together with the FOPH senior management and her colleagues, Anne Lévy is committed to the health of people in Switzerland. She represents the FOPH on working groups, committees and international bodies. She also implements the decisions of the Federal Council, Swiss parliament and the public.

The FOPH works with the cantons and other partners to develop the Swiss health system, lay the foundation for reforms, and bolster the digital transformation. Anne Lévy advocates a modern and financially sound healthcare system built on solidarity.
